Well after I got rid of the GT I decided to go for an EF or ED for all you anoraks out there as i've wanted one for ever. After I got it the rear calipers started to bind so got it up on axle stands to have a look. After finding that basically every thing was seized to what ever it was touching I thought since I wanted to keep the car for a while i'd do a full rebuild.
So enjoy the pics and any comments, words of advice welcome/ Also if anyone can take windscreens out and is near leicester, that would help a lot as i got quoted £60 each for front and back.
I got the car like this, Not too bad condition but needed new arches and a bit of tidying up of dodgy bits, wiring, relocated battery held down with battery etc.
So started stripping it down with the sound deadening, what a pain.
It then got to this stage where i began taking the loom out which went from this
To this
I then set up my parts spray booth in the garden, its since been secured a bit more to get a better finish.
And a few pics i took while busy on a nice sunny day
Since then Its a lot more stripped and i've got together a lot more bits. Pics will be on the way soon. The engine will be out by the end of this week thanks to my work for lending me an engine crane and a van to get it home with on my 2nd day there lol.

little bit of an update, had a play with the spray gun but found out how important a perfect finish is on the item being sprayed. Also playing about with thickness of primer as its high build but its not filling small grooves amazingly well. the wing came out well to be fair however the bonnet will need more work first. Only one pic for today.
Its just the first coat of primer but its good to see some progress towards a finished article.
